The investigation revealed that a 62-year-old Hispanic male was riding a blue bicycle southbound in the North bound lanes, when he was struck by a vehicle. The male victim did not survive his injuries.

On August 27, 2024, a 27 year old black male was shot at the 300 block of Sam Houston Dr. The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.
The suspects were described to be one female and two males. One male was wearing a green hoodie and the other male was wearing a black hoodie. Both males were wearing mask. The subjects possibly left the location in a silver or gray Nissan.

On April 29, 2024 at about 6:33 pm, Victoria Police Officers responded to the 2300 block of Jecker St concerning a Robbery. The victim advised he was selling an item on the internet. A Hispanic male and a Black male, both approximately 18 years old, met with the victim. Both suspects pointed a gun at the victim and took the property that was for sale.
The suspects left in a blue Hyundai Elantra.

On April 24th 2024, Victoria Police Officers responded to a local hospital concerning an 18 year old male that had been shot. The injury was non-life threating.
The shooting was reported to have occurred in the area of 700 E Rio Grande. The offender was described as an unknown medium built Hispanic male with short hair.

On April 15, 2024, two females enter the store at the 2000 block of Houston Hwy. One female was wearing a dark colored sleeveless shirt, blue jeans and flip flops. She had very long light colored hair. The other female was wearing a light colored short sleeve shirt, multi colored shorts and flip flops. She had medium length black hair. Both women had oversized purses. The two female appeared to be working together in stealing liquor totaling over $500.00.
Both females left the location in a dark gray 4 dr Hyundai.

On April 4th 2024 at about 2:24 pm, an unknown male attempted to steal property from a person at the 2800 block of N Navarro St. The person was able to retain possession of the property and the male subject ran away from the location. The offender was described to be dark completed skinny build male, approx. 5 foot 9 inches tall, wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a white long sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans and dark colored shoes. There was a Texas shaped emblem on the back of his shirt.

On April 2nd, 2024 a burglary was reported to have occurred in the early morning hours at the 3600 block of N Laurent. Surveillance video from the location showed that the burglaries occurred at 1:16 am, 4:41 am, and 5:30 am.
The three offenders were working together and appeared to be male. One offender was wearing a Crow or Doctor Plague type mask. Another offender was wearing a T-shirt that is believed to say “Black Out” on the back.
The three offenders took $1000.00 worth of property from the location.

On February 11th, 2024, at about 3:30 am, gun shots were fired from an unknown vehicle, into a gray Buick 4 door car, at the 4500 block of Port Lavaca Dr. The gray Buick had just left a local bar in the area. Two people inside the gray Buick were shot. The two victims were treated for non-life threating injuries at a local hospital.

On January 13, 2024, at about 5:25 pm, two subject where dropped off at a house at the 200 block of Terravista by a dark colored 4 door car. The two subjects walked to the back of the location and forcibly made entry into the home. A short time later the two subjects were picked up by a light colored 4 door car. The subject took money and gift cards from the location.
One subject wore a dark colored hoody, light colored sweat pants and a New Balance back pack. The other subject wore light colored hoody and sweat pants. Both subjects were wearing dark colored gloves and shoes.

On January 6 2024, shots were fired in the area of 3700 Hanselman Rd. A house and vehicle were struck by gun fire.

On October 13, 2023 a white male, with a dark colored beard and mustache, wearing a blue Willie Nelson T-shirt, gray pants, dark rimmed glasses and a baseball cap, burglarized two vehicle. One vehicle was located at the 7100 block of N Navarro and other vehicle was at the 9000 block of N Navarro.
The suspect then attempted to use a credit card obtained during one of the burglaries of a vehicle. The suspect was driving a dark colored 2010/2012 Chevy Traverse.

The Victoria Police Department is requesting assistance in the identification of a Hispanic male suspect which was caught on surveillance video.
The male suspect appears to have facial hair, and tattoos on both forearms. The suspect was carrying dark colored backpack and was wearing a silver colored watch.
This crime occurred on August 13th 2023, at a business at the 1300 block of E. Crestwood Dr.

On 7-26-23 the unknown man entered a home on the 3300 block of Meadowlane Street sometime between 5:00 pm on 7-25-23 and 1:30 am on 7-26-23. The resident did not know the man. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, closely shaved hair, tattoos on his upper chest and both arms. The suspect was not wearing a shirt but was wearing jeans, a belt, and ankle high boots or shoes.

Victoria Crime Stoppers along with the Victoria Sherriff’s Office is seeking information about a Missing Person.
Noel Benavidez Aguilar Jr., is a Hispanic male, 5’11, 160 lbs, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen on Barbara Drive on Thursday June 22, 2023, wearing a red shirt, black shorts, and black flip flops.
Mr. Aguilar has Mental Health Issues and did not take his medication.

On Thursday, 04/13/2023 at 9:30 p.m. a 21 year old Hispanic male was robbed at a convenience store on the 2100 block of Lone Tree Rd. The victim described the offender as a Hispanic male approximately 5’8”, with a bald head, and many tattoos.

On Saturday, 03/18/2023 at 9:40 p.m. officers with the Victoria Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at the 3600 block of E Forrest St. Outside of a residence at the location, officers located a 32 year old man who had been shot. Witnesses advised that after the shooting, the suspect had fled the area in a dark-colored truck.
On Monday, February 20, 2023 at about 4:10 am, an ATM on the 2700 block of Sam Houston Dr. was broken into. Shortly after, a red Kia SUV accelerated quickly away from a police department patrol officer drawing the officer’s attention. Officers pursued the Kia northbound on US Hwy 59 through Edna and Ganado before ending the pursuit near Louise for safety. An abandoned Kia was located by a Louise resident and items in the vehicle tied it to the ATM burglary. A gold Ford F250 was also stolen during the commission of this burglary.
Beginning late in 2022, Victoria began experiencing a series of burglaries at local stores selling vaping supplies. Investigators at the Victoria Police Department believe the burglaries may be related and are asking for your help in solving them. These burglaries have happened at stores on N Navarro St, Mockingbird Ln, and Houston Hwy.
